you are responsible for five blog entries (one for each section of the book) by tuesday nov 24

Friday, November 6, 2009

not a blog but,....

by the end of class, you group should have a your script written out and a copy printed for each member (and one for the teacher) ....use the format of Odd Jobs (0n pg 49 of Language and Writing)....that means...a title, stage directions, character names in capital letters (followed by a colon) and then the dialogue
remember to include stage directions (in brackets and italics) as you work through your script

Hand in one copy by the end of class....I look forward to them

class blog #13

mid-term reflect.....given that you are now a wise veteran of high school life, what advice would you give grade 8s about adjusting to life at IDCI? Explain.

your group novel...blogs 1 and 2

in addition to the class blogs, you are also responsible for 2 group novel blogs (the first 2/5 of your book)....same format as ind novel...the ideal is for you to share your thoughts/observations/feelings about the book...if you are stuck for words, refer to earlier guide for ind novel and use some of the suggestions there to guide your writing

(remember to limit plot summary and focus on deeper anlaysis)

class blog #12 take your kids to work..

how did it go?

where did you ?

who/what job did you shadow?

was / is it worthwhile?/is it a good program for grade 9s?

any suggestions to make it better?

#11 Shakespeare

so begins four years of increasingly difficult study of the great man's works....why do you think we do this all these years later? 400 plus years after his death, we still study his works in great detail. do you think we should? do you think it is important to know this "stuff"? explain

#10 thoughts on "Much Ado About Nothing"

well, I know it's Shakespeare...but overall, what did you think?....did you like it? were you able to follow it? do you feel you "understand the story"?
